July 13 - Day One: Las Vegas
Today is the first day of our trip. I keep saying that it will be epic only because we have never attempted something like this before. The longest vacation our family has been on has been about two weeks and we traveled as far as Denver. That was fun, but it was a long time in the car. Apparently we have forgotten how LONG that was, because we're going even farther this time, but doing more slowly so as to enjoy the journey.
We'll try and blog a little every day and I'd love to have different members of our family rotate writing posts so you can get different perspectives on what we do. Needless to say, our ten-year-old's posts may be pretty short as he is a man of few writing words.
Pics will be posted. Watch for Flat Red Poncho. He's going to pop up in different places. We've already been scheming potential pictures for him.
